Meet the Team

  • Dr. Frazier is a licensed clinical psychologist who received his Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University in 2004. He joined Cleveland Clinic in 2006 and from 2013-2017 was the director of the Cleveland Clinic Center for Autism and the Lerner School providing assessment and behavioral intervention to children and young adults with autism. He was the Chief Science Officer at AutismSpeaks from 2017 to 2021 and is currently the national board chair. He is also a Professor of Psychology at John Carroll University and a Research Professor in Pediatrics and Psychiatry at SUNY-Upstate.

    Over the last two decades, Dr. Frazier has maintained active clinical research programs focused on developing new assessment tools, including those that support evaluation and treatment of autism and related neurogenetic syndromes. He has published more than 180 scientific papers and his recent work has focused on developing tools relevant to outpatient mental health settings and behavioral intervention practices.

Mirko Uljarevic, MD, PhD, Psychiatrist, Stanford University
  • Dr. Uljarević is an Associate Professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Stanford University. He is a medically trained researcher-focused academic with a background in developmental psychopathology, psychometrics, and big data science. Dr. Uljarević completed his MD in Serbia and PhD in developmental psychopathology in Wales Autism Research Center at Cardiff University. Prior to his current role, he worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at La Trobe University and Stanford University and as a faculty at the University of Melbourne.  His research takes a life-span perspective and is driven by the urgent need to improve outcomes for people with autism and other neuropsychiatric (NPD) and neurodevelopmental (NDD) conditions. His primary research interest has focused on combining cutting-edge psychometric procedures and a big data approach to better understand structure of clinical phenotypes across autism and other NPD and NDD and on using this knowledge to improve existing and develop new clinical assessments that are more effective for screening and diagnosis, tracking the natural and treatment-related symptom progression and for use in genetic and neurobiological studies. In addition, he has worked on numerous projects spanning a range of topics, including genetics, treatment, and employment, with a particular focus on understanding risk and resilience factors underpinning poor mental health outcomes in adolescents and adults. 

  • Dr. Hardan is a Professor, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Stanford University. He is the Carl Feinstein Endowed Director of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Division and the co-Director of the Autism and Developmental Disorders Clinic at Stanford Medicine Children’s Health. Dr. Hardan has more than 25 years’ experience assessing and treating children and adults with developmental disorders including autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

    Dr. Hardan research expertise is in the neurobiology of ASD and in the development of innovative treatment for individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders. He served as a principal investigator on numerous federally funded projects examining the efficacy of a wide range of treatments in neurodevelopmental and neurogenetic disorders including psychosocial interventions (pivotal response treatment (PRT), and Developmental Reciprocity Treatment (DRT)) and pharmacological agents (arginine vasopressin (AVP), N-Acetylcysteine (NAC), everolimus, pregnenolone, suvorexant, and zolpidem). Additionally, he is the developer of two new instruments, the Stanford Social Dimensions Scale and the Dimensional Assessment of Restricted/Repetitive behaviors. Finally, Dr. Hardan has published more than 150 journal articles and has co-authored several book chapters in the field of developmental disorders and ASD.

  • Dr. Youngstrom is a licensed clinical psychologist who earned his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Delaware. He completed his predoctoral internship at the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic. Dr. Youngstrom has held faculty positions at Case Western Reserve University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he became a tenured professor.

    He is currently the Director of the Institute for Mental and Behavioral Health Research at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and holds the DiMarco Family Professorship in Psychiatry at The Ohio State University. Over his career, Dr. Youngstrom has published more than 450 peer-reviewed articles and given over 200 workshops and presentations on pediatric bipolar disorder and clinical assessment. His research focuses on enhancing clinical assessment tools for mood disorders, particularly bipolar disorder, in children and families.

    Dr. Youngstrom is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association, the Association for Psychological Science, and other esteemed organizations. He has contributed to the development of the DSM-5 and ICD-11 and is the co-founder of Helping Give Away Psychological Science (HGAPS), a nonprofit dedicated to making psychological science accessible. Recognized for his outstanding contributions, he received the Bob Smith Excellence in Assessment Award in 2022 and the Beckman Award in 2020, among other accolades.

  • Dave Goerlich is the Founder and CEO of The Refinery, a software design and implementation agency established in 2005. With more than 30 years of professional experience in software development, Dave has earned a reputation as a trusted consultant and advisor to startups, early-stage companies, and Fortune 500 firms. His deep expertise lies in aligning technology strategies with business objectives, ensuring each software initiative delivers substantial and measurable impact.

    Under Dave's leadership, The Refinery has served as the essential implementation partner for numerous startups, successfully transforming innovative ideas into scalable and impactful products. As a fractional CTO, Dave leverages his extensive technical knowledge, strategic insight, and entrepreneurial experience to help emerging tech companies navigate product development challenges, build effective technical teams, and make informed, strategic technology decisions.

    Dave actively mentors startup founders through Alloy Development Company’s Morning Mentoring program, offering practical guidance drawn from his own entrepreneurial journey - including the creation, growth, and eventual strategic sunsetting of his own SaaS product.

    Beyond startups, Dave has also guided large-scale software initiatives for Fortune 500 companies, bringing valuable perspectives on agile methodologies, value-driven project execution, and sustainable technology strategies.

  • Allison brings over 15 years of experience in behavior analysis, spanning therapy for all ages, providing school consultation, conducting parent/teacher training, and doing clinical supervision. She previously directed Cleveland Clinic's Autism Center Outreach and summer program and later served as a special education school administrator, founding a nationally recognized camp program for children and teens with behavior and learning differences.

    She founded a multidisciplinary behavioral health agency that provided services across homes, schools, and communities before establishing Elevate Learning which delivers behavioral interventions in schools.

    Allison contributes to the community as the vice president on the board of trustees at the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities and as a trustee for the Ohio Association of County Boards.

  • Joe Kolba is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience leading engineering teams across multiple startups, including in the dynamic biotech sector. With a proven track record of delivering scalable and innovative technology solutions, Joe combines technical expertise with strategic vision to drive product development and organizational growth.

    Throughout his career, Joe has spearheaded the architecture and development of complex systems, leading cross-functional teams to bring products from concept to market. At a biotech startup, he played a pivotal role in developing software solutions that supported groundbreaking advancements in biotechnology.

    In addition to his biotech experience, Joe has contributed to the success of startups in diverse industries, navigating the unique challenges of early-stage ventures. He excels in building high-performance engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, and implementing agile methodologies to streamline development processes.

    Joe is proficient in a wide range of programming languages, frameworks, and technologies, including Node.js, Javascript, Java and AWS. He is passionate about leveraging technology to solve real-world problems and thrives in fast-paced, innovative environments.

    Beyond his technical accomplishments, Joe is an advocate for mentoring emerging talent and promoting diversity within the tech industry. He actively participates in knowledge-sharing initiatives and stays at the forefront of emerging technologies to ensure continuous improvement and adaptability.

The AIM team has more than 100 years of clinical mental health and educational experience working with thousands of students and patients. The team has clinical research experience with more than 1,000 peer-reviewed publications. They have a long history of mental health measure development with creation and validation of more than 20 instruments.
